Russian developers create an alternative to foreign microchip analysis equipment
Positive Technologies has unveiled the first laser system in Russia designed for microelectronics security research. Previously, such devices were supplied to the country from abroad, but due to restrictions on technology imports, Russian enterprises faced a shortage of the equipment necessary for testing chips.
The new development allows specialists to conduct in-depth analysis of microcircuits and identify potential vulnerabilities in their hardware. This is a critical stage for ensuring cybersecurity, as modern chips are used in all areas: from household appliances to complex infrastructure control systems.
Creating their own system was a response to the market demand for import substitution of high-tech equipment. Experts note that having such devices within the country allows Russian companies to avoid dependence on foreign manufacturers and independently control the quality and security of the components used.
In the near future, the company plans to begin mass production of these systems for the needs of domestic industry. It is expected that the implementation of this Russian development will help strengthen the country's technological sovereignty and increase the level of protection for information systems.
