Russia plans to increase the minimum wage
The Russian government is considering a significant increase in the minimum wage. According to the latest data, this figure will reach 27,093 rubles in 2026, but the authorities plan to increase it to 28,935 rubles the following year.
Thus, the minimum wage will grow by 1,842 rubles. This decision is aimed at supporting low-income citizens and is part of the state policy to gradually increase wages in the country.
The Ministry of Labor notes that the increase in the minimum wage directly affects the amount of social benefits, temporary disability payments, and other state guarantees. The growth of this indicator allows for the indexation of the incomes of millions of Russians in accordance with the current economic situation.
Experts emphasize that regular increases in the minimum wage help reduce poverty levels and stimulate the growth of real wages in various sectors of the economy. It is expected that the new changes will come into effect at the beginning of the next calendar year after the official approval of all necessary documents.
This measure is an important step toward improving the standard of living of the population. The government continues to monitor price dynamics and plans further actions to protect citizens' incomes in the future.
