Trump said the hantavirus outbreak is likely under control
U.S. President Donald Trump said he hopes the hantavirus outbreak is under control. American authorities reported this amid discussions of a health situation on one of the ships.
According to Trump, the situation is, as he hopes, "largely under control." He also noted that the problem is linked to a ship. The report does not provide details about the number of those infected or the location of the incident.
Hantavirus is an infection that can cause serious illness. The virus is usually transmitted to humans through contact with infected rodents or their excretions. Authorities are monitoring developments and assessing possible risks.
For now, officials are expressing cautious optimism and continuing to monitor the situation. New data about the outbreak may emerge later, once specialists complete their review and provide more information.
