The impact of attacks on Russian oil refineries
Recently, Russian energy infrastructure has faced a series of attacks that have led to the shutdown of a number of major oil refineries. These facilities play a key role in supplying the country with fuel, so any disruptions in their operation attract serious attention from experts and government agencies.
According to the latest analytical data, production capacity for gasoline could have decreased by 65% as a result of the damage. In annual terms, this amounts to approximately 27.4 million tons of fuel. It is also reported that there may be a 61% reduction in diesel fuel production volumes, which is equivalent to 52 million tons.
Experts note that oil refineries are complex technical facilities, the repair of which requires significant time and the supply of specialized equipment. In this regard, the government and relevant ministries are taking measures to stabilize the domestic market and prevent fuel shortages in the regions.
At the moment, the authorities are working on restoring the damaged capacity and redistributing the flow of petroleum products. The situation remains under close scrutiny, as the stability of gasoline and diesel fuel supplies directly affects logistics, agriculture, and other important sectors of the Russian economy.
