Former Mercedes-Benz plant in the Moscow region to become a major dairy production facility
A large-scale investment project is planned for the Moscow region on the site of a former Mercedes-Benz warehouse complex. Investors intend to invest approximately 30 billion rubles in retooling the site into a modern dairy plant.
This project became possible following significant changes in the Russian food industry market. Previously, the company Danone Russia changed its name to H&N (Health & Nutrition), and in 2024, its assets were transferred to the control of the company Vamin R. It is these changes that have opened up new opportunities for the development of production capacities in the region.
The new enterprise is set to become one of the largest in the industry. It is expected that the plant will provide jobs for hundreds of Moscow region residents and help increase the volume of domestic dairy production. The construction and launch of the plant are part of a strategy for import substitution and the development of the food industry.
Experts note that using the existing infrastructure of former automotive warehouses allows for a significant acceleration of the production launch process. The project is expected to take several years to complete, after which the plant will reach its full design capacity and begin supplying products to retail chains across Russia.
