Russian developers unveil the first domestic microchip analysis system
Positive Technologies has announced the creation of Russia's first laser-based system designed for microelectronics research. Previously, Russian enterprises were dependent on imported equipment for chip analysis, but it is now possible to perform such work using domestic technology.
The new development allows specialists to study the structure of microcircuits in detail and identify potential vulnerabilities in their hardware. This is a critical stage for ensuring the security of information systems, as hardware verification helps prevent the introduction of malicious functions during the manufacturing process.
Creating proprietary equipment has become a response to restrictions on the supply of foreign analytical systems. The developers note that their system is on par with global counterparts in terms of technical specifications and allows for in-depth analysis of components used in modern electronics.
Experts emphasize that the emergence of such a system is an important step for the country's technological sovereignty. In the context of global digitalization, control over the quality and security of microchips is becoming one of the top priorities for protecting the data of government and private companies.
In the near future, the company plans to begin mass production of these systems. It is expected that the new technology will be in demand not only in the field of cybersecurity but also at enterprises involved in the design and testing of domestic microelectronics.
