Russia calls for de-escalation of conflict between Houthis and Saudi Arabia
The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued an official statement regarding the recent attack on the international airport in Riyadh. The Russian side expressed serious concern over the worsening situation in the region and condemned attacks on civilian infrastructure.
The official statement emphasizes that such actions lead to increased tension and pose a threat to the civilian population. Russia calls on all parties to the conflict, including the Yemeni Houthis and representatives of Saudi Arabia, to exercise restraint and immediately cease strikes on civilian targets.
Moscow insists on the necessity of a political settlement to the crisis. According to Russian diplomats, military methods are incapable of leading to long-term peace; therefore, the parties to the conflict should return to dialogue and the search for compromise solutions under the auspices of international organizations.
This position of Russia reflects the country's desire to stabilize the situation in the Middle East. The security of civilian facilities and transport hubs remains a priority issue that requires the attention of the entire international community to prevent further escalation of the conflict.
