NSPK warns of potential issues with online payments using Visa and Mastercard
The National Payment Card System (NSPK) has issued an important statement for Russian users. Specialists warn that when making purchases online, holders of Visa and Mastercard cards issued by Russian banks may encounter technical errors.
The main problem is that payments via foreign services or when using certain browser settings may not go through. This is due to restrictions imposed by international payment systems regarding Russia. As a result, many transactions are automatically declined during the data processing stage.
Experts recommend that users be careful when making purchases online. If a payment does not go through on the first attempt, one should not try to repeat the operation multiple times, as this could lead to a temporary blocking of the card by the bank for security reasons.
To resolve such problems, specialists advise clearing the browser cache or using another payment method, such as a Mir card or the Faster Payments System (SBP). These payment methods currently work stably and allow for purchases to be made without unnecessary complications.
In the future, the situation regarding the use of international system cards within the country may remain unstable. Therefore, users are advised to prepare alternative payment options in advance for daily needs and online orders.
