New vaccine for birch pollen allergy registered in Russia
The first domestic drug for the treatment of birch pollen allergy has been officially registered in Russia. The new medication is named "Allergard." It is intended for the prevention and therapy of allergic rhinoconjunctivitis in patients with hypersensitivity to tree pollen.
The development of this drug marks an important step for Russian medicine. Birch allergy is one of the most common seasonal problems among the country's residents. Many people suffer annually from runny noses, itchy eyes, and other unpleasant symptoms during the spring period when blooming begins.
"Allergard" helps the body get used to the allergen and reduces the immune system's reaction. Specialists note that the use of the vaccine will allow patients to tolerate the blooming season more easily and significantly improve their quality of life during this time.
The drug is expected to reach medical institutions in the near future. Doctors recommend that patients consult with specialists in advance to determine if this course of treatment is suitable for them and when it is best to begin therapy to achieve the best results.
