Russian developers create an alternative to foreign microchip testing equipment
Positive Technologies has unveiled Russia's first laser system designed for microelectronics security research. Previously, such devices were imported from abroad, but due to restrictions on technology imports, Russian enterprises faced a shortage of equipment for chip analysis.
The new development allows specialists to check microchips for vulnerabilities and hidden functions. This is a critical task for ensuring cybersecurity, as modern chips are used in almost all electronic devices—from household appliances to industrial control systems.
The creation of this proprietary system is a response to the technological challenges faced by the Russian IT industry. The developers note that using domestic equipment will help companies and government agencies better protect their data and control the quality of the components they use.
Experts emphasize that the emergence of such technologies is an important step toward developing an independent IT infrastructure in Russia. In the future, the company plans to expand its line of similar solutions to fully meet the domestic market's needs for hardware analysis tools.
