Russia has expanded the list of European officials banned from entering the country

The Russian Foreign Ministry has announced an expansion of the list of European Union representatives who are banned from entering the territory of the Russian Federation. This decision was a response to recent sanctions measures adopted by European authorities against Russian citizens and organizations.

The updated "stop-list" includes high-ranking officials, representatives of security agencies, and members of the European Parliament. According to the Russian foreign policy agency, these individuals bear direct responsibility for promoting anti-Russian policies and supporting restrictive measures that damage Russia's economy and political interests.

The Foreign Ministry emphasized that such actions by the EU are unfriendly and lead to a further deterioration of relations between Moscow and Brussels. The Russian side has repeatedly stated that any attempts at pressure through sanctions do not yield the desired result and only force Russia to take retaliatory steps to protect its sovereignty.

At present, diplomatic contacts between Russia and the European Union remain at a minimal level. Experts note that the expansion of the ban list indicates a continuation of the confrontational course that has been observed in relations between the parties in recent years.

The Russian government stated that it is prepared to reconsider its decision only if the European Union abandons its sanctions policy. At the moment, there are no signs of a softening of restrictions from either side.
