Vyacheslav Volodin: Russia faces a record number of sanctions
Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin has reported new data regarding international restrictions against Russia. According to him, a record number of sanctions have been imposed on the country by Western states and the United States to date.
According to the official statement, the total number of restrictive measures has reached 35,480. This figure makes Russia the country against which the largest number of sanctions in the world have been imposed at the moment.
In his message, the State Duma speaker emphasized the scale of the pressure that the Russian economy and political system have faced. These restrictions cover a wide variety of areas: from the financial sector and banking operations to the export of technology and consumer goods.
Experts note that such a number of sanctions creates serious challenges for business and logistics chains within the country. In response, the Russian government continues to work on reorienting the economy toward new markets and developing domestic production.
The situation remains a subject of active discussion in political circles. Future developments will depend on how the Russian economy adapts to current external conditions in the coming months.
