Russia and China may introduce a permanent visa-free regime
The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced plans to develop tourism and business ties with China. The ministry reported that the Russian side is prepared to consider the possibility of introducing an indefinite visa-free regime for citizens of both countries. This decision is aimed at strengthening partnerships and simplifying travel for millions of people.
At present, simplified rules for tourist groups are already in effect between Russia and China. However, experts note that the complete abolition of visas would be an important step for economic development. This would allow for an increase in tourist flow and would also simplify operations for entrepreneurs who frequently visit the neighboring country for business.
Representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that work on this project requires careful preparation. It is necessary to coordinate all legal details and security issues to ensure the new system functions effectively. In the near future, the relevant departments of the two countries will begin detailed consultations on this matter.
China is one of Russia's main strategic partners. Every year, thousands of Russian citizens visit Chinese cities for leisure, study, or business. In turn, the interest of Chinese tourists in Russian landmarks is also constantly growing.
It is expected that the introduction of a visa-free regime will provide a new impetus for the development of bilateral cooperation. Authorities in both countries hope that this decision will help make travel more accessible and comfortable for all citizens.
