Yandex has implemented hybrid search for more accurate answers
Yandex has officially announced the launch of a new search technology. The search engine now operates in a hybrid mode that combines two different approaches to processing user queries.
Previously, search engines often chose one or the other: either keyword-based search or an analysis of the general meaning of a phrase. Yandex's new algorithm does both simultaneously. This allows the system to find documents that contain the exact words from the query while also taking into account the user's context and intent.
Developers note that this technology significantly improves the quality of search results. Users will be able to find the information they need faster, even if they do not know the exact terms or formulate their query in a non-standard way. The system better understands complex questions and long sentences.
The update has already begun rolling out to all users of the search engine. The company emphasizes that the implementation of hybrid search is an important step in the development of artificial intelligence technologies that help people work with data on the internet more effectively.
