Kremlin offers no comment on Kyiv's ceasefire statement
Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov stated that the Russian side has left the Ukrainian authorities' statement regarding a possible truce without attention. The matter concerned Kyiv's proposal to cease hostilities in the conflict zone, beginning at midnight on May 6.
At this moment, official Moscow has provided no reaction to this initiative. The Kremlin emphasized that no contacts or discussions regarding this issue have taken place.
The situation in the combat zone remains tense. The statement regarding a truce was made by the Ukrainian side unilaterally; however, Russian authorities have not confirmed a readiness to observe a ceasefire under these conditions.
Observers note that the lack of an official response from Russia indicates that Moscow is maintaining its current position regarding the conduct of hostilities. Future developments remain uncertain.
