Russia and China to Build New Pharmaceutical Plant in Irkutsk
Russia and China have agreed to launch a major joint project in the field of medicine. The parties plan to build a new plant for the production of pharmaceutical substances. This facility will be located in the Irkutsk region and will mark an important step in the development of Russian industry.
Investment in the project will exceed 13 billion tenge (approximately 2.6 billion rubles). A Russian pharmaceutical company and its Chinese partner will join forces to create a modern production facility. The main goal of the project is to provide the domestic market with the necessary materials for manufacturing medicines.
Pharmaceutical substances are the core components used to produce tablets and other medical drugs. Currently, many Russian plants depend on imports of these substances from abroad. The new production facility in Irkutsk will help reduce this dependency and make the process of creating medicines more autonomous.
The construction of the plant in the Irkutsk region will also benefit the region. It is expected to create new jobs and develop local infrastructure. The use of modern Chinese technologies combined with Russian expertise will allow for the production of high-quality products that meet international standards.
This cooperation confirms the strengthening of economic ties between Russia and China in strategically important sectors. Experts believe that the launch of the new production facility will not only support the healthcare system but will also serve as an example of successful international partnership in the high-tech sector.
