United Russia plans to audit 10th-grade admission rules
The United Russia party has launched an initiative to audit the situation regarding the admission of students to the 10th grade in Russian schools. This move was prompted by numerous complaints from parents regarding unjustified restrictions that students face when attempting to continue their education in senior grades.
Recently, there has been an increase in cases across various regions of the country where graduates of 9th grade are denied enrollment in the 10th grade. This is often explained by a lack of space or the introduction of strict competitive selection based on exam results. Parents consider such measures unfair and a restriction on children's right to receive a complete secondary education.
Party representatives emphasized that access to 10th-grade education should be as open as possible. In their view, schools do not have the right to create artificial barriers for students who wish to continue their studies at their own school. Experts and deputies are currently preparing proposals to make the enrollment process more transparent and understandable for all families.
It is expected that audits will be conducted in regional departments of education in the near future. The goal of these activities is to identify the reasons for the denials and ensure compliance with students' rights to receive an education in accordance with federal standards.
The issue of accessibility to senior high school remains important for millions of Russian families. The results of the audit should help rectify current problems and guarantee that every 9th-grade graduate can choose their further educational path without unjustified obstacles.
