In Russia, server costs have doubled over the past year
Over the past year, the Russian information technology market has faced a noticeable increase in equipment prices. According to data presented at the "TechnoDay" industry event, the average cost of modern servers in Russia has doubled since October 2025.
Experts note that such a sharp price jump is linked to the increased complexity of logistics chains and changes in the conditions for supplying high-tech equipment to the country. Companies are forced to spend significantly more funds on purchasing the computing power necessary to maintain cloud services and data storage operations.
Rising prices for server equipment directly affect businesses and government agencies that are actively developing digital infrastructure. Increased spending on "hardware" may lead to higher costs for end users, as the expenses for maintaining data centers are becoming a significant budget item for IT companies.
Under current conditions, market participants are looking for ways to optimize expenses. Options for switching to alternative suppliers and developing domestic solutions are being discussed in order to reduce dependence on imported components and stabilize server infrastructure prices in the long term.
