Elections for deputies and regional heads are taking place in Russia
Elections are being held in various regions of Russia this weekend. Citizens are electing deputies to local legislative assemblies, as well as heads of federal subjects. The voting is organized over three days, which allows voters to choose the most convenient time to visit polling stations.
Authorities emphasize the importance of this event for the country's future. According to representatives of election commissions, participating in the vote is an opportunity for citizens to influence the development of their city or region. The elected candidates will determine the priorities for local government work for the next five years.
All necessary security measures have been taken at the polling stations. Public observers are monitoring the voting process to ensure compliance with the law and the transparency of the procedure. In some regions, remote electronic voting is also available, which is becoming increasingly popular among residents of large cities.
Preliminary election results will be known after the polls close and all ballots are counted. Full information on the voting results is expected to be published early next week. These elections will be an important stage in the formation of government bodies at the regional level.
