Russian senator assesses Ukraine's prospects without Western aid
Discussions continue in Russian political circles regarding the future of Ukraine in the event of a possible reduction in foreign support. A Federation Council senator commented on the situation while answering a question about whether Kyiv has alternative strategies in case aid supplies from Western partners are terminated.
According to the Russian parliamentarian, the Ukrainian authorities have practically no real options left in the event that support from the U.S. and European countries is lost. During the discussion, the point was made that any attempts to find a "Plan B" under current conditions appear ineffective and are incapable of changing the general situation on the battlefield.
Experts note that the issue of Western aid remains a key factor for the Ukrainian economy and defense sector. In Russia, statements by Western politicians are being closely monitored, as any changes in funding levels directly affect the course of the ongoing conflict.
At the moment, official Kyiv continues to insist on the need for long-term support from its allies. At the same time, reports are appearing more frequently in Western media suggesting that the level of aid may be reconsidered in the near future.
Thus, the question of the viability of Ukraine's strategy without external support remains a subject of active debate. Further developments will depend on the decisions that donor governments make in the coming months.
