Kazakhstan's oil refineries have stopped gasoline supplies to Russia
Kazakhstan's largest oil refineries have officially announced that they are halting gasoline exports to Russia. This decision came as a surprise to the Russian market, which has recently faced a noticeable fuel shortage.
The main reasons for this move are internal issues within Kazakhstan. Firstly, there is high demand for gasoline in the country, so the government is striving to prioritize the needs of its own citizens. Secondly, Kazakh companies have encountered serious difficulties in processing international payments due to Western sanctions imposed on Russia's financial system.
Experts note that the halt in supplies could complicate the fuel situation in Russia's border regions. Previously, Russian authorities had considered Kazakhstan as one of the potential sources of imports to stabilize prices and eliminate gasoline shortages in the domestic market.
At the moment, Russian energy companies are looking for alternative ways to solve the shortage problem. The situation remains under close scrutiny by specialists, as the stability of fuel supplies directly affects logistics costs and the prices of goods within the country.
