Fuel cards offered in Naryan-Mar for reproductive health check-ups
The authorities of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug have launched an unusual campaign for local residents. In the city of Naryan-Mar, citizens are being offered fuel certificates worth 1,000 rubles in exchange for undergoing a medical examination of their reproductive system.
This initiative is being carried out as part of a state program to support demographics. Doctors are encouraging men and women to undergo a comprehensive examination to assess their health status and identify potential problems at an early stage. The organizers of the campaign hope that such an incentive will help increase public interest in family planning issues.
To receive the gasoline certificate, residents must visit a medical facility and undergo the appropriate consultations with specialists. After completing the examination, participants in the campaign receive a voucher that can be used at local gas stations.
Such measures reflect the regional authorities' desire to draw citizens' attention to issues of demographic development. In recent years, various ways of supporting families and improving birth rates have been actively discussed in Russia, including health education and preventive check-ups.
At the moment, the campaign is only active within the territory of Naryan-Mar. The authorities will announce the results of the program and whether such an experience will be extended to other regions of the country at a later date.
