Vote counting begins in Russian elections

Voting has concluded in a number of regions in Russia, and election commissions have begun counting ballots. The first data began arriving from the eastern territories of the country, where polling stations closed earlier due to time zone differences.

One of the first regions to provide information on the results was Khabarovsk Krai. At polling station No. 187, the results of the voting by party list were recorded. According to this data, the United Russia party received 42.9% of the vote.

The remaining votes were distributed among other political forces. 18.7% of voters cast their ballots for the CPRF, and the LDPR received 14.7%. The parties that crossed the threshold also included New People with 8.7% and A Just Russia with 5.7% of the vote.

These figures reflect a preliminary picture at a specific polling station. As stations close in other regions of the country, the Central Election Commission will update the overall voting statistics.

The vote count continues across the country. It is expected that the full preliminary results of the election will be known once ballots from all polling stations in Russia have been processed.
