Russians have started actively booking tickets for the 2026 FIFA World Cup
As the 2026 FIFA World Cup approaches, the interest of Russian fans in the upcoming tournament has grown noticeably. According to analysts, the number of flight bookings to the countries hosting the matches has increased more than ninefold compared to previous periods.
Recall that the next World Cup will be hosted by three countries at once: the USA, Mexico, and Canada. These nations are preparing to welcome millions of tourists from all over the world, and Russian travelers are also planning their trips in advance, despite logistical challenges and the need to obtain visas.
Experts note that such a sharp jump in demand is linked to the fans' desire to see the games of the world's best national teams in person. Many fans prefer to buy flight tickets well in advance to lock in more favorable prices, as airfares traditionally rise closer to the tournament's start dates.
Even though there is still a significant amount of time left before the competition begins, preparations for the trips are already in full swing. Travel agencies and airlines expect that interest in the destination will only increase as the opening date of the championship approaches.
