State Duma plans to centralize the operation of the "System 112"
The Russian State Duma has adopted in the first reading an important bill concerning the operation of emergency services. It involves the creation of a unified state information system for data collection for "System 112." Currently, this service operates in different regions of the country, but the new initiative aims to combine all information flows into one common network.
The main goal of the innovation is to make the work of emergency services faster and more efficient. Thanks to centralization, operators will be able to receive and process information from any region of the country in real time. This will help to send assistance more quickly to people who find themselves in a difficult situation, regardless of where exactly they are located.
The bill assumes that the creation of such a system will allow for better coordination of the actions of the police, ambulance, and fire services. A unified digital platform will simplify data exchange between agencies, which is especially important in cases of large-scale incidents or emergencies. Currently, data is often transmitted with delays, but the new system should solve this problem.
The government notes that the transition to a centralized model will be gradual. After the law is adopted in the final reading, specialists will begin technical preparations for merging regional databases. It is expected that this change will significantly increase the level of safety for citizens across Russia.
