Growth in trade turnover between Russia and Belarus in 2026
Since the beginning of 2026, economic cooperation between Russia and Belarus has demonstrated steady growth. According to the latest data, the volume of trade turnover between the two countries has increased by 12.5% compared to the same period last year.
Russian President Vladimir Putin noted that this indicator testifies to the strengthening of integration processes within the framework of the Union State. The increase in trade volumes is the result of active interaction between Russian and Belarusian enterprises in various sectors of the economy.
The main areas of cooperation remain industrial cooperation, energy, and agriculture. The parties continue to implement joint projects aimed at ensuring technological sovereignty and developing the internal market of both countries.
Experts emphasize that the growth in trade contributes to the creation of new jobs and strengthens the stability of the economies of both states. Under current conditions, a close partnership with Belarus remains one of the key priorities for Russia's foreign trade.
Thus, the positive dynamics of trade turnover confirm the effectiveness of the chosen course toward deepening bilateral cooperation. It is expected that the indicators of interaction between the countries will continue to grow until the end of the year.
