Civic Chamber proposes increasing vacation time for parents of large families
The Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation has put forward a new initiative aimed at supporting families. Experts have proposed increasing the duration of annual paid leave for parents raising three or more children.
The authors of the idea believe that parents of large families need more time for proper rest and childcare. According to the public representatives, additional vacation days will help mothers and fathers better manage their family responsibilities and reduce the stress associated with balancing work and raising children.
Currently, Russian legislation provides certain benefits for large families, but the issue of increasing standard vacation time is being discussed at the state level for the first time. It is expected that this measure will become part of a comprehensive program to improve the demographic situation in the country.
The proposal has already been sent to relevant government agencies for consideration. If the initiative is approved, changes could be made to the Labor Code of the Russian Federation. In the near future, experts plan to hold additional consultations to assess the potential impact of this innovation on employers and the country's economy.
