Russia needs new technologies for resource extraction in the Arctic
The head of Gazprom Neft, Alexander Dyukov, has stated that the development of domestic technologies for mineral extraction is of critical importance. According to him, the country requires modern autonomous systems to operate effectively in the challenging climatic conditions of the Arctic and Eastern Siberia.
Currently, the development of hard-to-reach regions faces a number of technological challenges. Dyukov emphasized that the creation of autonomous complexes will not only improve personnel safety but also significantly increase oil and gas production volumes in regions where traditional methods are becoming inefficient or too expensive.
Developing such technologies requires combining the efforts of the state, research institutes, and major energy companies. The integration of automation and artificial intelligence into the processes of drilling and resource transportation could be a key factor in maintaining Russia's leadership in the global energy market in the long term.
It is expected that investments in high-tech projects in northern latitudes will grow in the coming years. This will allow Russia not only to ensure energy independence but also to create new jobs in the fields of engineering and digital technology, which will be an important step for the development of the country's economy.
