State Duma Election Results: United Russia Wins Majority of Seats
The vote count for the State Duma elections has concluded in Russia. According to official data from the Central Election Commission, after processing 100% of the ballots, the United Russia party has emerged victorious. It secured a record number of mandates, which will allow it to maintain a controlling majority in parliament.
In addition to the winning party, four other political forces have entered the new State Duma. According to the voting results, representatives of the CPRF received 37 mandates, and the LDPR party secured 23 seats. Representatives of the New People party also entered parliament, gaining the opportunity to participate in legislative activities at the federal level for the first time.
The distribution of seats in parliament determines the country's political agenda for the coming years. The deputies elected to the State Duma will be involved in passing new laws, approving the state budget, and addressing pressing social issues. Preparations for the first session of the newly convened parliament will begin in the near future.
The election results have been officially confirmed, and political parties are now beginning the work of forming their factions. In the coming weeks, it will become clear who will head key committees in the State Duma and which bills will become priorities for the deputies at the start of their term.
