Russian small businesses are actively switching to a new tax regime
Over the past six months, the number of entrepreneurs in Russia choosing the Automated Simplified Taxation System (ASTS) has grown significantly. According to the latest data, the number of companies and individual entrepreneurs using this regime has reached 461,000.
This figure demonstrates the rapid growth in the popularity of the tax regime. Compared to December 2025, the number of ASTS users has increased tenfold. Such dynamics indicate that businesses are actively adapting to new digital tools for reporting.
The main feature of the ASTS is the automation of processes. When using this system, entrepreneurs do not need to calculate taxes themselves or file most declarations, as calculations are performed automatically based on data from online cash registers and bank transactions. This helps reduce the number of errors and saves time for business owners.
Experts note that the transition to automated systems is becoming an important step in the digitalization of small businesses in the country. Simplifying tax administration makes doing business more transparent and convenient for novice entrepreneurs, which contributes to the further development of this sector of the economy.
