Russian developers are actively switching to digital design technologies
In the Russian construction industry, there is a noticeable increase in interest in modern technologies. According to the latest data, the share of domestic developers using BIM (Building Information Modeling) technologies in their work has reached 49%. This indicates a gradual digitalization of the country's construction sector.
BIM technologies allow specialists to create a digital model of a future building that contains all the necessary information, from architectural solutions to engineering utilities. The use of such systems helps companies plan work stages more accurately, avoid errors during the design phase, and use construction materials more efficiently.
Experts note that the transition to digital design methods has become particularly relevant in recent years. The government is actively supporting the introduction of innovations by setting new requirements for construction projects. Many large companies have already appreciated the benefits of BIM, as it allows them to reduce construction time and lower the overall costs of project implementation.
Despite the positive momentum, the industry still faces certain challenges. Not all companies find it easy to adapt to the new standards due to the need for staff training and the purchase of expensive software. Nevertheless, experts are confident that the share of BIM users will continue to grow, as digitalization is becoming a necessary condition for competing in the modern real estate market.
