A Quarter of Russian Hotels Are Ready to Accept Tourists with Pets

Traveling with pets is rapidly growing in popularity in Russia. More and more dog and cat owners do not want to leave their pets at home or in specialized pet hotels. Instead, they prefer to take them along on vacations or business trips across the country.

According to the latest data, the tourism market is actively adapting to these changes. Today, about a quarter of all Russian hotels are ready to accommodate guests with animals. Out of nearly 40,000 active accommodation facilities in the country, 9,860 hotels officially allow stays with pets.

Experts note that this trend is linked to changing attitudes toward pets in society. Today, many people view their pets as full members of the family. Hotels that offer "pet-friendly" services gain a competitive advantage and attract a new category of loyal customers.

However, tourists should remember that stay rules may vary depending on the specific hotel. Some hotels charge an additional fee for special room cleaning, while others set restrictions on the weight or breed of the animal. Therefore, travelers are recommended to clarify all conditions in advance before booking.

The development of pet infrastructure makes traveling across Russia more comfortable and accessible for a wide range of people. It is expected that in the coming years, the number of hotels open to four-legged guests will only grow, following the demands of modern travelers.
