International tourism exhibition featuring Russia opens in Beijing
A major international tourism exhibition, the China Outbound & Inbound Travel Market (COITM 2026), has begun in Beijing. This event annually attracts tourism industry professionals from all over the world to discuss current trends and opportunities for developing travel between countries.
The main event for the Russian delegation was the opening of a special exhibition titled Discover Russia. This space showcases our country's tourism potential, as well as new routes for foreign guests. Participating in an exhibition of this level allows for the strengthening of business ties with Chinese partners.
China remains one of the most important destinations for the Russian tourism market. As part of the exhibition, experts plan to discuss issues regarding the simplification of the visa regime, the development of air travel, and the creation of new programs for tourists who wish to experience the culture and nature of Russia.
Organizers note that interest in Russian destinations among Chinese travelers continues to grow. Tourism industry representatives hope that participation in COITM 2026 will help attract even more guests to Russian regions in the coming years.
The exhibition in Beijing will last for several days. It is expected that, as a result of the event, new cooperation agreements will be signed, which will help make travel between Russia and China more comfortable and accessible for everyone.
