Russian scientists have created nanoparticles to fight cancer
Russian researchers are working on the creation of unique nanoparticles that could become a new tool in the treatment of oncological diseases. This technology is aimed at targeting tumors precisely without damaging the body's healthy tissues.
The main feature of the development is that these particles are "thermally self-limiting." This means that upon reaching a certain temperature, they automatically stop heating up. Such a mechanism allows doctors to control the treatment process and avoid overheating healthy cells, which is an important advantage over existing methods.
The principle of the method is based on introducing nanoparticles into the tumor area. Afterward, they are exposed to a special magnetic field that causes the particles to heat up. The high temperature destroys cancer cells from within, while the surrounding tissues remain safe thanks to the temperature control system.
At the moment, the project is in the active research stage. Scientists are conducting laboratory tests to confirm the efficacy and safety of the new method. In the future, this technology could significantly increase the chances of successful treatment for complex forms of cancer.
The development by Russian specialists represents an important step in the advancement of modern medicine. If clinical trials are successful, the method could be implemented in the practice of Russian oncology centers, which would help thousands of patients receive higher-quality and gentler therapy.
