Dmitry Medvedev comments on the mobilization situation in Russia
Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia Dmitry Medvedev has made an important statement regarding the military recruitment process in the country. According to him, the state's current strategy relies on a professional army rather than on conducting new waves of mobilization.
Medvedev emphasized that throughout 2024, the Russian armed forces have shown strong results in attracting volunteers. Thanks to active efforts in recruiting contract soldiers, there is no need for compulsory measures. The authorities are focusing on financial incentives and social guarantees for those willing to serve under contract.
According to official data, the number of citizens wishing to sign a contract with the Ministry of Defense remains consistently high. The state continues to improve the system of payments and benefits for military personnel and their families, which, according to experts, is a key factor in the success of the current campaign.
In his speech, the politician also noted that the country's leadership is closely monitoring the situation on the front lines and the needs of the army. Nevertheless, at the moment, the priority remains maintaining a balance between defense needs and the stability of civilian life in Russia.
Thus, the question of possible mobilization is not on the agenda today. The authorities continue to adhere to the chosen course of forming an army through professional soldiers who voluntarily decide to serve.
