Margarita Simonyan comments on relations between Armenia and Russia
Editor-in-chief of the Rossiya Segodnya media group Margarita Simonyan has made a statement regarding the current state of relations between Moscow and Yerevan. In her recent remarks, she emphasized that Armenia does not plan to engage in conflict with the Russian Federation in any sphere.
According to Simonyan, the Armenian side is not seeking confrontation with Russia, whether in political, economic, or any other format. She noted the importance of maintaining a constructive dialogue between the two countries, which are historically linked by close partnership relations.
At the same time, the discussion touched upon the reaction of Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev to the actions of the Armenian authorities. Simonyan characterized his remarks as quite harsh and aggressive, which, in her opinion, requires a more detailed analysis in the context of bilateral relations.
At the moment, official representatives of both countries continue to monitor the development of the situation. The issue of interaction between Russia and Armenia remains an important topic for foreign policy, given the long-standing cooperation of the states within the framework of various international organizations and economic unions.
Thus, Margarita Simonyan's statement underscores the desire to reduce tension in the rhetoric between the countries. Future developments will depend on the readiness of the parties to seek diplomatic solutions and strengthen mutual trust.
