Russian President appoints new commanders for the 'Center' and 'East' troop groupings
The President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, has made a decision regarding personnel changes in the leadership of the country's Armed Forces. According to an official statement, new commanders have been appointed for two key troop groupings — 'Center' and 'East'.
Colonel-General Andrey Ivanaev has been appointed as the commander of the 'Center' troop grouping. He previously held responsible positions within the Ministry of Defense structure, where he established himself as an experienced military leader. His appointment is part of a planned rotation of the Russian army's leadership staff.
Lieutenant-General Mikhail Zusko has become the commander of the 'East' troop grouping. He will begin performing his duties in the near future. These changes are aimed at increasing the efficiency of unit management under current conditions.
The Russian Ministry of Defense has not yet provided detailed biographical data regarding the future assignments of the former commanders, but emphasized that such personnel decisions are a standard procedure for optimizing the work of military command.
At the moment, the situation in the areas of responsibility of these groupings remains under control. The new leaders have already begun studying the operational situation and carrying out the tasks assigned to them.
