Russia's international reserves decreased by 11.8 billion dollars
The Central Bank of the Russian Federation has published fresh data on the state of the country's international reserves. According to the report, the volume of reserves decreased by 11.8 billion dollars over the last week. At the current moment, the total amount of assets stands at 583.9 billion dollars.
International reserves are highly liquid financial assets that are under the control of the Bank of Russia and the government. They consist of foreign currency, monetary gold, special drawing rights, and a reserve position in the International Monetary Fund. These funds are used to maintain the stability of the national currency and cover external obligations.
Experts note that such changes in the volume of reserves occur regularly and depend on a multitude of factors. The dynamics of these indicators are influenced by operations involving the purchase or sale of currency on the domestic market, changes in the market prices of gold, and the revaluation of assets denominated in foreign currencies against the US dollar.
Despite the significant weekly decline, the volume of reserves remains at a high level, which allows the state to maintain financial stability. The Bank of Russia continues to monitor the situation in global markets in order to ensure reliable protection for the country's economy in the current conditions.
