Russia's FSB plans to change border regime rules in border regions
The Federal Security Service of Russia has prepared a draft order that proposes changing the border regime rules in the Rostov and Voronezh regions. According to the document, the changes will affect territories that border regions where special administrative conditions are currently in effect.
The main goal of the new measures is to simplify the procedure for the entry and stay of citizens in these zones. Currently, residents often need to obtain special permits to visit border territories. The proposed measures may eliminate the need for such permits for Russian citizens in certain areas.
Authorities explain this decision by the need to optimize the work of border agencies and simplify the movement of local residents. The changes are intended to make logistics in border areas more convenient, taking into account the current situation in these subjects of the Russian Federation.
The draft order is currently undergoing public discussion. After all necessary procedures are completed and official approval is granted, the new rules will come into force in the Rostov and Voronezh regions. It is expected that this decision will help reduce the administrative burden on the population living near the border.
