Voting results: turnout for State Duma elections reached 55%
The Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation has summarized the preliminary voting results for the State Duma elections. According to official data, the total voter turnout across the country reached 55%. Millions of citizens took part in the voting to elect deputies for the new convocation for the next five years.
The voting process took place over several days, which allowed many Russians to choose a convenient time to visit polling stations. Both traditional polling stations and remote electronic voting systems were in operation across the regions. The CEC noted that the technical systems functioned stably, and no serious violations that could have affected the election results were recorded.
The highest voter activity was noted in national republics and a number of Far Eastern regions. In large cities such as Moscow and St. Petersburg, turnout was also in line with the national average. Observers from various parties and public organizations monitored the process to ensure the transparency and integrity of the procedure.
Commissions are now beginning the final vote count. The official results of the distribution of parliamentary seats among political parties will be announced in the near future. These elections will be decisive for shaping Russia's legislative agenda for the coming years.
