Russian Ministry of Defense reports successful test launch of intercontinental missile
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has officially announced the successful test launch of an intercontinental ballistic missile. The launch was conducted from the Plesetsk State Test Cosmodrome, located in the Arkhangelsk Region.
The primary objective of this event was to verify the technical specifications of the missile system. According to the military department, all flight stages proceeded as planned, and the training warheads successfully hit their designated targets at the testing range located on the Kamchatka Peninsula.
Such launches are a regular practice for the Russian armed forces. They are conducted to confirm the reliability of missile systems currently in service and to monitor the readiness of the country's strategic nuclear forces to carry out their assigned tasks.
The official statement emphasizes that all tasks assigned to the cosmodrome crews were completed in full. At present, specialists are analyzing the telemetry data obtained during the tests for the further improvement of missile systems.
