Russia to adjust oil refinery maintenance schedules
The Russian Ministry of Energy has decided to optimize the schedules for planned maintenance work at oil refineries. This measure is aimed at maintaining the stability of the country's fuel market and preventing fuel shortages during periods of high demand.
In recent years, planned maintenance at large refineries has often led to temporary reductions in gasoline and diesel production volumes. The new strategy involves more flexible planning: work will be carried out in such a way that a minimum number of facilities are undergoing maintenance at the same time.
Experts note that coordinating the schedules will help avoid sharp price fluctuations at gas stations. Thanks to more efficient load distribution, refineries will be able to maintain necessary fuel stocks even during seasons of active field work or summer vacations, when fuel consumption traditionally rises.
Furthermore, the government plans to strengthen oversight of compliance with maintenance deadlines. Companies will be required to provide reports on equipment readiness to avoid delays that could negatively impact the overall situation with fuel supplies to the regions.
It is expected that these changes will help make the Russian petroleum products market more resilient to external and internal factors. The stable operation of refineries remains a priority task for ensuring the country's energy security in the current economic climate.
