Main Events of the Day: Offensive in the Kharkiv Region and the Situation in Karlovy Vary

Valery Gerasimov, Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, inspected the operations of the "Zapad" (West) group of forces. He assigned new tasks to the military and assessed the current situation at the front. According to Gerasimov, the group is conducting active offensive operations within its area of responsibility, demonstrating significant activity.

The main events are currently unfolding in the Kharkiv region. Gerasimov reported that the 20th Army is advancing on a wide front in a westward direction. Russian troops continue to move forward, striving to consolidate new positions and expand their zone of control in this region.

During recent operations, the "Zapad" group liberated several settlements. Among them are the village of Borovaya and the village of Kutkovka. Successful actions in the Boguslav direction and the continuation of active fighting in the area of the settlement of Velikaya Shapkovka were also reported.

Currently, fierce street fighting continues in the village of Shiykovka in the Kharkiv region. According to the General Staff, more than half of this village is already under the control of Russian forces. In addition, units of the 6th Army are developing an offensive from Kupyansk toward the town of Shevchenkovo.

Russian units are also fighting to liberate settlements such as Novy Mir, Druzhelyubovka, and Cherneshchina. Simultaneously, reports indicate that the Russian Armed Forces are continuing an operation to destroy enemy formations in the city of Svyatogorsk.

In addition to military news, information has emerged regarding changes in the tourism sector. The number of Russian tourists at the famous Czech resort of Karlovy Vary has dropped sharply. The city's mayor, Andrea Pfeffer Ferklová, had previously expressed serious concern over the outflow of guests from Russia, as it negatively impacts the economy of the resort region.
