Bank of Russia expects growth in citizens' savings in 2026
The Bank of Russia has presented an updated forecast for the development of the country's banking sector. According to the regulator's data, the financial performance of Russian banks will grow steadily in the coming years, which will be reflected in the personal savings of citizens.
Experts paid special attention to the forecast for 2026. The Bank of Russia expects that the volume of client funds in bank accounts will increase by 7–12%. This indicates the public's trust in the banking system and the willingness of citizens to keep their savings in rubles.
According to analysts, such growth is linked to the current monetary policy and people's desire to preserve their income in a changing economy. The increase in the volume of deposits will also allow banks to more actively lend to businesses and support important investment projects within the country.
The regulator continues to closely monitor the situation in the financial market. It is expected that a stable inflow of client funds will help strengthen the banking sector and ensure the necessary level of liquidity for the Russian economy in the long term.
