Russian Ministry of Transport summarizes air travel results: who flies to the country most often
The Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation has published current data on the structure of passenger traffic on international airlines. According to official statistics, for the reporting period, the total number of passengers who used airline services for travel to and from Russia amounted to 51.7 million people.
Data analysis shows that the vast majority of travelers are Russian citizens. Their share in the total volume of traffic exceeds 70%. These figures reflect the current activity of Russians in the sphere of international tourism and business travel.
At the same time, a significant part of the passenger traffic is made up of foreign citizens. According to the Ministry of Transport, their share accounts for about 30% of the total number of passengers transported. This indicates a continuing interest in trips to Russia from residents of other states, despite logistics difficulties and restrictions on air travel.
The presented statistics help experts better understand the current situation in the civil aviation market. Amid changing routes and a reduction in the number of direct flights to a number of countries, the Ministry of Transport's indicators remain an important indicator of population mobility and the state of the country's transport industry.
