Vyacheslav Volodin re-elected as Chairman of the State Duma
Vyacheslav Volodin has been officially re-elected to the post of Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation. This decision was made during the first session of the ninth convocation of parliament, where deputies expressed their support for his candidacy.
Volodin has held this position since 2016. In his speech following the vote, he thanked his colleagues for the trust placed in him and emphasized the importance of continued work on legislative bills aimed at the country's development and the support of its citizens.
The Chairman of the State Duma plays a key role in Russia's legislative process. He coordinates the work of all committees, presides over plenary sessions, and represents the lower house of parliament in relations with other government bodies.
In the near future, deputies are set to consider a number of important initiatives, including the federal budget draft for the coming year. It is expected that under Volodin's leadership, parliament will continue its active work on socio-economic issues relevant to all regions of Russia.
Thus, the composition of the State Duma's leadership has remained stable. The deputies are beginning to carry out their duties within the framework of the new parliamentary cycle, focusing on the fulfillment of the state tasks set before them.
