Russian Air Defense Forces Destroy 157 Drones Overnight
On the night of June 16–17, Russian air defense systems repelled a large-scale unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) attack. According to official data from the Ministry of Defense, 157 Ukrainian drones were destroyed during this period.
According to the military report, the attack lasted for several hours: from 8 p.m. Sunday to 7 a.m. Monday. Air defense units on duty worked in an intensified mode to intercept targets in the skies over several Russian regions.
The scale of this attack was one of the most significant in recent times. The use of drones in the conflict zone remains a frequent occurrence, and defense systems constantly monitor the airspace to prevent potential damage to infrastructure.
Authorities remind citizens of the need to observe safety measures when discovering drone debris. In such cases, it is important not to approach suspicious objects and to immediately report them to emergency services.
At the moment, the situation is under the control of military departments. The Ministry of Defense continues to carry out tasks to protect the territory and ensure the safety of residents in the border and central regions of the country.
