Russian developers create an alternative to microchip analysis equipment
Positive Technologies has unveiled Russia's first laser system designed for microelectronics security research. Previously, such devices were supplied from abroad, but due to restrictions on technology imports, Russian enterprises faced a shortage of critical equipment.
The new development allows specialists to conduct in-depth analysis of microchips and identify potential vulnerabilities in their architecture. This is necessary to protect hardware from external interference and cyberattacks. Using domestically produced equipment helps Russian companies reduce their dependence on foreign suppliers in the high-tech sector.
The laser system has already passed initial tests and is ready for integration into production processes. Experts note that the creation of such tools is an important step toward ensuring the country's technological sovereignty. It allows for independent verification of the quality and security of components used in critical infrastructure.
In the future, the company plans to scale up production and expand the system's functionality. The development of proprietary technologies in the field of microelectronics remains one of the priority areas for the Russian IT industry, which will enable the creation of more secure and reliable devices for the domestic market.
