The Central Bank of Russia warns investors against investing in cryptocurrency
Representatives of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation have expressed their position regarding the popularity of digital assets among citizens. According to the regulator, cryptocurrencies should not be viewed as a reliable method for long-term investment or a "golden ticket" to quick riches.
Deputy Governor of the Bank of Russia Vladimir Chistyukhin noted that, at present, there is a decline in the hype surrounding the cryptocurrency market among Russian investors. The regulator views it as a positive fact that citizens have begun to show less interest in risky digital assets, preferring more traditional financial instruments.
The Bank of Russia emphasizes that the cryptocurrency market remains extremely unstable and unpredictable. The lack of state regulation and protection of investor rights in this sphere makes such investments dangerous for the savings of ordinary citizens. According to Central Bank experts, high exchange rate volatility can lead to significant financial losses.
In conclusion, representatives of the financial regulator urge Russians to remain cautious and carefully study the risks before making investment decisions. Given the current economic situation, the Bank of Russia recommends prioritizing assets that have a clear legal framework and are subject to state control.
