Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on the recent strikes on Kyiv airports
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has issued a statement regarding the recent attacks on civilian infrastructure in Kyiv. According to the head of state, the Russian military launched strikes on the capital's airports to disrupt the visit of foreign delegations.
The main reason for the attack, as claimed by the Ukrainian side, was the planned arrival of Steven Witkoff in Kyiv. It is known that the American businessman and political figure intended to visit Ukraine using air transport.
At this moment, official representatives of the Russian Ministry of Defense have not provided comments regarding the targets of these strikes. The situation in the region remains tense, and the operations of Kyiv's airports are subject to serious restrictions due to security concerns.
The international community continues to monitor the developments in Ukraine. Such incidents highlight the ongoing risks to air travel and the movement of foreign representatives in the conflict zone.
